The new Valencia CF player talks about his arrival
Valencia CF's new signing, Peter Federico, stopped by the VCF Media studios to talk about his first few days at the club.
On my first day here I was a little nervous. Everybody has welcomed me very well. They are young players, just like me. The training sessions have been very good and the atmosphere is spectacular. All very well. “I am very happy to be here.”
Federico is in contention for the squad for Saturday's game against UD Almería, and is ready for the challenge.
"I've come with a lot of ambition and can't wait to make my debut, experience a game at Mestalla and do my best. If the stadium looks spectacular on television, I can't imagine what it is like in person."
As well as meeting up with his teammates, Federico has also had a chance to speak with his new coach.
“Baraja told me that he was delighted that I was here, and encouraged me to work as I have been doing and contribute to the team, both offensively and defensively.”
“I come from a fairly humble neighbourhood. Everything I have done has been based on sacrifice, training and a lot of hard work. There is no secret: It's about work, perseverance and taking advantage of your opportunities.”
The move to Valencia CF is a big step up for the player, but he is used to working hard to achieve things.
